Alison has enjoyed over 39 years in the financial services industry. She has recently joined MassMutual Metro NY as Senior Vice President, Director of Wealth Management. Alison utilizes quality fundamentals with a rules-based technical overlay for performance, risk management and to help remove emotion. She maintains a rigorous focus on both analytics and investment knowledge.
Starting her financial advising career in the early 80’s has given her plenty of experience with the behavioral aspects of financial cycles. This has shaped her belief that risk management and capital preservation can be achieved through a combination of investment strategies, advanced planning and relationship management.
Prior to choosing MassMutual Metro New York, Alison worked at Morgan Stanley (and predecessor firms). She worked on Wage and Price Controls as a Finance Analyst at Celanese Corporation after stints at both US and international publishing firms. Alison’s volunteer activities focus on students, our investment in the future. She formerly chaired the New College Foundation. New College, the honors college of the Florida State University system is located in Sarasota. Alison also had previously chaired the Investment Committee and sat on Governance. Alison is involved in Take Stock in Children and its alliance with Sarasota Ballet’s Dance the Next Generation. She is also a Big Sister in the local Big Brothers, Big Sisters program. Alison volunteered weekly at Tidewell, Sarasota’s Hospice House.
As a Certified Reiki Master, Alison seeks balance in life. So when she is not practicing yoga, target shooting, reading or attending car shows, she relishes spending time with her husband Jan, their standard poodles, and local family.
Alison received her MBA from New York University Stern School and Certificat d’Etude from La Sorbonne in Paris, France. She did her undergraduate work and received a BA Magna Cum Laude from Duke University.
