Financial Services Professional
Background
For Bruce, being a member of the Marché & Scott team at MassMutual New York State is about adding value to every relationship or transaction. Bruce plies his knowledge and experience from a unique vantage point. A former CPA with over 10 years experience as a corporate financial officer, Bruce brings a perspective unique to working with clients on their individual financial needs. Today, he and Marilyn Scott, who is a Financial Services Professional, work collaboratively to share expertise in meeting the insurance, securities, and long-term care needs of a wide range of clients. “I ventured into this business because as a CFO I grew tired saying ‘no’ to people. Today, I enjoy my job because it enables me to say ‘yes’ and help clients achieve their financial goals,” explains Bruce.
Philosophy
Bruce believes it is vitally important to seek first to understand the needs of each individual client. He takes pride in his ability to communicate the language of numbers in meaningful, understandable terms. “Our philosophy is to work collaboratively with clients to provide innovative, tax-reduction strategies that are easy to implement…working closely with each client’s trusted advisors. We continuously monitor our progress, meeting at a pace that is comfortable for the client.”
“We are comfortable working with limited budgets and high expectations. There’s an art to balancing expectations, alleviating fears and delivering effective solutions in today’s increasingly complex financial world,” expresses Bruce in describing the work of the Marché & Scott team.
"Our value proposition is the strength of our partnership. As a result, clients can feel confident in knowing that we know where to go for the answers and that we are not driven by product sales. The team works well with small- to mid-size business owners as well as individuals. Our best client is someone serious about their financial future and desires to work toward a worry-free retirement, financing the college education of their children or simply being able to afford the cabin in the mountains they’ve always wanted,” adds Bruce.
