David graduated from Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, TX with a Bachelor of Business Administration. After beginning his career with MetLife in 1998 he focused primarily on the risk management aspect of his client’s needs assuring that they had adequate protection products in place in their risk management portfolio. After the market crash of 2000, he saw the need for both individual clients and business owners to have experienced advice in investments and began focusing on the holistic approach to risk management, investment selection, and management of the retirement process for his clients. He found one of the greatest joys of his life in helping others achieve and maintain financial security into retirement and beyond. Today’s market requires active management of resources and strong relationships between the client and the advisor. In 2016, David joined MassMutual when the MetLife Preferred Client Group was acquired by MassMutual.

Throughout his career, David has been a strong proponent of greater education in the field of financial services and has achieved multiple industry designations including, Chartered Financial Consultant – ChFC®, Chartered Life Underwriter – CLU®, Chartered Advisor for Senior Living – CASL®, and the Life Underwriting Training Council Fellow – LUTCF designation from The College for Financial Planning from The American College. These are some of the most sought after and highly regarded professional credentials in his field. He also holds the Texas Department of Insurance Group 1 Life, Health and Accident License; and holds Securities Licenses Series 24 (Registered Principal), Series 53 (Registered Municipal Principal), Series 7 (General Securities), and Series 66 (Investment Advisor Representative).

David serves as Chairman of the Board for the Shriners Hospital for Children in Houston. Shriners International started in 1872 and is a worldwide fraternity that operates 22 hospitals that treat children with orthopaedic issues, cleft-lip and palate, sub-acute rehabilitation, and burns. It is known as “The World’s Greatest Philanthropy”. David is also President of the Houston Scottish Rite Learning Center which helps children with hearing and speech impediments. He is married and enjoys spending time in the great outdoors and traveling. He is an avid Sportsmen and a Skeet & Sporting Clays enthusiast.
