Focus: Insurance Strategies
My experience in the United States Army has shown me that I have a true passion for helping people and solving complex issues. The more complex, the better. Transitioning into the Financial Services Industry in partnership with MassMutual Carolinas affords me the opportunity to solve some of the most pressing issues for both business owners and individuals.
For the business owner, I utilize life insurance planning to help solve issues related to conservation strategies, business continuity and exit strategies, as well as key person and executive compensation plans. For the individual, I again simplify the complex issues revolving around conservation planning, and in turn come up with strategies to help safeguard families. For my clients, the main differential between myself and others, is the process I use. This process is systematically driven and relies on listening just as much as offering solutions.
Looking back on my career, I’ve spent the last 10 years on Active Duty delivering comprehensive solutions that get results. My philosophy is always endpoint driven, while still allowing for flexibility. I’ve trained hundreds of soldiers and led many teams through the most difficult conditions imaginable. Now, as a financial services professional at MassMutual Carolinas, I bring that same intensity and results driven tenacity to my clients.
The most rewarding aspect of my role as a financial professional is getting to work with so many people from all walks of life. No person or situation is the same, and at MassMutual Carolinas, I get to apply the comprehensive processes that I love to help businesses, individuals and families. My vision is simple. Listen to my clients and then put the practical solutions in place that align with their financial goals.
On a personal note, I’m a volunteer project manager for the Greensboro Ballet and work with them on program development and community engagement. I’m originally from upstate South Carolina. Being born into a small mill-working family, I learned from an early age the value of hard-work and accountability. In my younger years, I traveled extensively as a performing artist. The last 10, I’ve spent with the United States Army. I regard my non-traditional background as my greatest asset.
Outside of work, I get to spend time with my wonderful wife, who I met while we were both principal dancers at the Ballet Theatre of Maryland. We’ve been married for 10 years and have 3 fantastic sons together. The best part of my day is getting to see them when I come home.
