Douglas A. Vogel is a Financial Services Executive with Lee, Nolan & Koroghlian, a MassMutual firm and a Registered Representative with MML Investors Services, LLC with 34 years of experience. He is a parent of an adult daughter with disabilities and a SpecialCare Planner with MassMutual’s SpecialCare Program, a national network of planners dedicated to helping families plan for their children or other dependents with special needs, with offices in the Low Country of South Carolina and South Florida. Doug has authored numerous articles on advocacy and special needs estate planning and is nationally recognized as one of the leading professionals on estate planning for families with children or other dependents with special needs. He has been featured in many publications such as the New York Times, Bloomberg Wealth Manager, Forbes, The Special Parent, Reuters, and CNN Money.

 

Doug is a member of the Board of Directors of the National Alliance on Mental Illness South Carolina (NAMI SC) and The Kids Needs Foundation.  He is a member of the Organization for Rare Disorders (NORD); Florida’s Voice on Developmental Disabilities (FVDD); Interagency Council of Palm Beach County for Young Children with Special Needs; the Boating & Beach Bash for People with Disabilities Planning Committee; and an associate member of the Area 9 Family Care Council Florida-Palm Beach County.

 

After receiving a BA in Political Science from The Citadel, The Military College of South Carolina, in Charleston, SC, Doug served as a Field Artillery Officer in the US Army. He currently resides both in Folly Beach, South Carolina and Highland Beach, Florida with his wife.
