He is also the Chair of the Exhibiting Committee for the Boating & Beach Bash for People with Disabilities; an associate member of the Area 9 Family Care Council Florida-Palm Beach County and a member of the Board of Directors of the Kids Needs Foundation.
He received a BA in Political Science from The Citadel, The Military College of South Carolina, in Charleston, SC. Doug resides both in Folly Beach, South Carolina and Highland Beach, Florida with his wife and daughter who has special needs.
