Dr. Michelle Umbower, PhD, joined GoldBook Financial in August 2026 as a financial services professional and is based in our Scottsdale office.

As a financial services professional with GoldBook Financial, Dr. Michelle works with individuals, families, and business owners to understand their financial goals and develop personalized strategies to help protect and strengthen their financial future. Along with a team of experienced financial professionals, she works collaboratively to identify each client’s unique financial needs and goals, provides education on protection insurance and financial solutions, while building long-term client relationships.

Prior to joining GoldBook Financial, Dr. Michelle spent more than six years in senior finance and operations leadership within the financial services industry, with a strong background in accounting, finance, tax administration, human resources, and organizational operations. Over the past year, she worked directly in the insurance industry, helping individuals and families evaluate life insurance, mortgage protection, and final expense solutions.

Dr. Michelle holds a BS in Accounting, an MBA in Finance, and a Doctor of Management in Organizational Management and Strategic Change from Colorado Technical University.

Outside the office, Dr. Michelle enjoys golfing, gardening, and traveling—especially throughout Europe—and exploring new cultures, cuisines, history, and destinations.
