Earl earned his degree in Business with a concentration in Management from Western Michigan University in 1983. He began his career in financial planning at Cigna Financial Group before joining MassMutual in January 1989. In 1990, he completed a three-year program through the American College, earning the Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU®) and Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC®) designations. 

Earl has been recognized as a Five Star Wealth Manager from 2011- 2018 and again in 2025. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his family, playing soccer, and cheering on the Detroit Lions.
