Ed Hopkins specializes in investment and estate planning services for Charter Oak Financial, whose proud history dates back to 1886. Ed has been practicing since 1983, working primarily with individuals, families, and small businesses on their wealth management, estate planning and business succession planning needs.
In Ed’s previous role as Charter Oak’s investment specialist, he instructed his peers in topics related to securities, long term care and disability income insurance. His skills as an educator continue to greatly benefit his client relationships. He is a seasoned student as well; over the course of his career, Ed has earned his LUTCF® (Life Underwriter Training Council Fellow), CLTC® (Certification for Long Term Care), ChFC® (Chartered Financial Consultant), and CFBS (Certified Family Business Specialist) designations to deepen his knowledge and enhance the level of service he provides. Ed is also a Registered Investment Advisor.
Outside of the office, Ed enjoys spending time with his family and pursuing his many hobbies: real estate, painting, guitar, landscaping and gardening, and skiing.
