Professional Story
I joined the insurance and advisory business in 1981 following the sudden, premature death of my father, age 58. I was shocked by how little life insurance he had for my surviving mother and siblings. Eight months later I came into the business.
After thirty nine years, I look back at the families and small business owners I have helped with their personal or business financial situations. I have assisted small business owners find creative ways to use the tax code to their own benefit. Worked with countless parents to help them put assets aside to fund their children's college tuition.
I have sadly attended almost all the funerals of my seventy four clients who are now gone.
At this time of my life and the lives of most of my clients, I am engaged in ensuring their retirement income needs are met. Helping them find creative ways to reduce their tax burdens. Using legacy planning to ensure a proper and successful passing of their asset to their children and grandchildren.
I am the senior member of a team of over ten advisors to help meet the needs of my clients, both now when I am here, and later when I am gone.
At the age of 72, I have less years before me than I have behind me. Many of my clients feel the same way, although acknowledging it isn't easy. I try to ensure the goals and aspirations they have for their loved ones are truly met.
