Starting in May of 1996, Geoff McDermid is a second generation insurance professional focusing on estate and business protection programs as well as the development of financial strategies for families in the Western New York community.  His career got off to a fast start by qualifying for MassMutual’s Fast Start award and the local life underwriter new associate panelist. In 1999, Geoff moved into a full time sales management role and has achieved career development awards each year from the General Agents and Managers Association. He currently holds the position of President and CEO of McDermid Financial Group and is an active member in GAMA, Financial Planning Counselors of WNY, NAIFA, and a young professionals networking group. Geoff is very active in the community through the Boy Scouts of America in Lewiston, NY, where he lives with his wife and two children.
