Hyun Joo has been working in the financial services industry since 2005. Prior to the financial services industry, she worked in the continuing education space with UC Berkeley Extension and ventured into the start-up world working in Human Resources and Accounting.

Her team is dedicated to helping clients create better financial outcomes by first clarifying what truly matters to them and then collaborating to turn that vision into action. They believe that clarity, simplicity, and thoughtful implementation are the foundation for meaningful financial progress. Above all, her team strives to be a trusted and valuable resource for every client they serve.

As Senior Vice President of the Walnut Creek office, Hyun Joo is passionate about bringing together financial professionals with diverse perspectives, experiences, and backgrounds. She believes that staying deeply connected to the community is essential to remaining relevant in a world of rapid change and disruption. Through an “Integrative Approach,” she helps financial professionals identify and leverage the many resources, relationships, and opportunities available to them.

A graduate of UC Berkeley with honors, Hyun Joo is a proud Oakland resident and an active member of the community. She serves on the Associate Board of the Korean American Community Foundation–San Francisco.

Outside of work, Hyun Joo is an avid sports fan who enjoys volunteering and spending time with friends and family. She loves traveling the world, scuba diving, and learning about different cultures. Her passion for challenging herself extends to endurance sports: she was in the Rock ’n’ Roll Marathon Hall of Fame in 2014 and became an IRONMAN in 2024.
