Background:

Jim received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Central Florida in Orlando, Florida, and a Master’s of Science in Financial Services from the American College in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania.  He has authored financial articles featured in Newsweek, Advisor Today, and LifeHealthPro.  Jim has also earned professional designations as a Certified Financial Planner (CFP™), a Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU), a Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC), and a Certified Family Business Specialist (CFBS).  He also holds the designations Life Underwriter Training Council Fellow (LUTCF) and Certified in Long Term Care (CLTC). 

Professional Affiliations:

Jim is a member and a past president of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA)in Central Florida and has been a member of the Central Florida Estate Planning Council, and the American Society of Financial Services.  He has received multiple NAIFA National Quality Awards and is a Life and Qualifying Member of the Million Dollar Round Table.  In 2010 Jim received special recognition by the LIFE Foundation as a recipient of the Real LIFE Stories Client Service Award.

Personal:

Jim has been married to Michelle Hasley since 1998 and they have two sons, Zach & Josh.  Jim is an active volunteer having served as a Scoutmaster and Chairman of the Boy Scouts Seminole Springs District.  Jim is a graduate of Leadership Orlando Class 67, past Central Florida Chairman of Backcountry Hunters & Anglers, past President of the Central Florida Sigma Chi Alumni Chapter, a member of the UCF Golden Knights Club, and a member of the UCF Charles Millican Society.  As a hobby, he writes articles on wildlife conservation and hosts the conservation-based Under Pressure Outdoors podcast.
