James "Jim" Marloremail

    Since July of 1990, Jim Marlor has been in the insurance and investment industry. Jim started his career as an insurance representative with New England Financial. In 2003, he became the fifth Managing Partner in the firm’s 108-year history, managing up to 83 advisors and staff located in offices throughout MA, CT, VT and NY. In celebration of the firm’s 100th anniversary, the Governor of Connecticut proclaimed April 25 2008 as New England Financial Group Day. Under Jim’s direction, the firm has been recognized as a Top Work Place four times. Jim was voted as a “Top 40 Under the Age of 40” business owner by the Hartford Business Journal and is a Past President of the Hartford Association of Insurance and Investment Advisors (HAIFA).

    Jim served 10 years in active and reserve duty in the U.S. Army, attaining the rank of Captain. During his spare time, Jim serves as a business mentor for the returning military veterans through American Corporate Partners.

    Away from the office, Jim has coached youth football and soccer. He’s a member of the West Hartford Chamber of Commerce, a Capital Campaign Member of the American School for the Deaf and is actively involved in many charities that support military veterans. Jim and his wife, Tracy, have three sons: Ben, Keith and Jack.
