Jamie Asher is a financial representative and partner with WestPoint Financial Group. Jamie earned scholarships to play football and baseball at his alma mater, the University of Louisville. In 1995, upon completion of his senior year, he was drafted to the NFL and two years later was named a Pro Bowl alternate. Jamie led the Redskins in receptions 3 of 4 years with the team. He retired in 2000 after suffering a career ending injury then began discerning what would be his succeeding profession. Focusing on his long time interest in mathematics, economics, and finance, Jamie returned to Indiana to explore a career as a financial representative. From his personal and professional experience in the NFL emerged a passionate desire to compete in the fiscal arena with the objective of assisting folks in attaining their financial goals.

As fate would have it those 18 years ago, Patrick Murray, a newly retired NHL player crossed paths with Jamie where a committed business partnership between colleagues was born. In addition to proficiently providing services within their practice, Jamie and Pat ardently recruit and develop their team of financial representatives. As comrades in the WestPoint family, they yearn to cultivate personal connections with their clients while striving to achieve client financial goals.

Jamie is a member of the NFLPA, Nature Conservancy, U of L Alumni Association, and involved with the JDRF(Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation). Jamie is an active member at St. Barnabas Catholic Church. He thoroughly enjoys coaching the sports teams, attending parish activities, and participating in fellowship and fundraising events. He looks forward to hunting and fishing with his sons, not to mention time on the links. Jamie is a dedicated fan to his children’s sports teams whether spectating at the college level or pee wee league! Spending time with his wife, Diann, and their family of five children can be a bit like organized chaos, however every moment is treasured!
