John Tierneyemail

Professional Story

John has always been a numbers guy with an interest in finance. He attended the University of Massachusetts, Amherst and graduated with a degree in economics. While studying at UMass, John completed an independent study on the wealth management industry alongside Douglas Cliggott, a 30-year industry veteran. He also earned the Evelyn Barber Finance and Entrepreneurship Award during his time at UMass.

Upon graduation, John’s passion to help others find their own sense of financial independence led him to a career in the financial services industry. He runs a successful practice focused on helping people establish and work towards their financial goals. His dedication, desire, and approach to his clients' challenges have led him to become an emerging leader within the firm.

He works primarily with individuals and families that have accrued student loan debt, have existing rollovers, and those undergoing job changes. John also works with small business owners to help guide them in wealth building.

When he’s not working, John enjoys playing lacrosse and coaching at the Northfield Mount Hermon School. He resides in Westfield, MA.
