Professional Story
Mac McPherson, CLU, is a 1973 graduate of Michigan State University. He earned his CLU designation at The American College in Bryn Mawr, PA in 1992. In 1975, Mac signedhis career contract with Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Company (of which MassMutual MidMichigan is a general agency) and affiliated companies, including MML Investors Services, LLC.
Mac is a Past President of the Grand Rapids Association of Life Underwriters. In 1998, Mac received the Distinguished Service Award from The Grand Rapids Association of Life Underwriters.He is a Life Member ofMillion Dollar Round Table and a Life Member of Doric Masonic Lodge in Grand Rapids.
Mac’s community service includes: 2018 Michigan 4-H Emerald Award (MSU); Past President of Lowell Rotary; Elected Trustee of Grand Rapids Community College; and Past Board Director of the West Michigan Estate Planning Council. He was also honored to serve as Chairman for both the historic 150th and the 175thchurch anniversaryprojects.
Mac and wife Pinky have 3 adult children, who were the 7th McPherson generation to grow up on the family farmland. Mac, Pinky and kids are allgraduates of Michigan State University.
