Professional Story

Matt Adamczyk, CLTC, is a financial services professional and Special Care Planner1 with MassMutual Dallas – Fort Worth, a comprehensive, insurance-based financial services firm in Dallas, TX, and a general agency of Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Company. His prior experience spans engineering, general management, total quality management, systems development and integration, and business development.

Matt has chosen the role of Special Care Planner with a sense of mission to address the needs of families like his own, who have dependents with special needs.

When you work with Matt, you will get the benefits of a skilled team of financial professionals covering nearly every area of financial specialization. He will leave you with a strong and positive impression and a sense of confidence in your family’s future.

Matt has been an active Ambassador for the Richardson Chamber of Commerce and the Telecom Corridor. A 2001 graduate of Leadership Richardson, Matt has served on the boards of four 501c(3) nonprofit community service organizations: The Warren Center (an early childhood intervention agency), The Arc of Dallas, Sales and Marketing Executives International, and Montserrat Jesuit Retreat Center. In 2013, he is currently in his third year as a trustee at Montserrat Jesuit Retreat Center on Lake Dallas. In October 2012, Matt was appointed as a member of the Major Gifts / Planned Giving Advisory Committee for Special Olympics of Texas.

Over the years, Matt has had individuals, families and nonprofits as clients. He has helped individuals and families with all aspects of creating a financial strategy and is especially called to serve nonprofit organizations whose missions concern persons with disabilities and their caregivers.

Matt holds two degrees: an Honors Bachelor of Arts (HAB) Degree in Classics and Mathematics from Xavier University (valedictorian) and a Master’s Degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Wisconsin at Madison. He was valedictorian of his graduating class from St. Ignatius High School in Cleveland, OH.

Testimonial as Trustee:
“Matt served as a Trustee on our nonprofit agency Board for six years, two of them as President of the Board. It was his enthusiasm and commitment that led to the Board's decision to create a facility of our own. He led the charge to make it happen, helped recruit Board members that were committed to our mission of helping every child become the best they can be, and promoted both our services and our future within the community. His enthusiasm, dependability, sincere commitment, and heart spurred the agency to devote itself to further reach our potential by launching a capital campaign and building a facility that helps us deliver our mission to more children and families. Additionally, he provided strong support to me as the Executive as we struggled to make it happen. He was able to look at the issues with an eye for what would be good for us in the long run, not just what we needed to do today. He was not only an inspiration to me but to his fellow Board members as well.” – Kay Hopper, Executive Director, The Warren Center, an Early Childhood Intervention Agency

1The Special Care Planner received advanced training and information in estate and tax planning concepts, special needs trusts, government programs, and the emotional dynamics of working with people with disabilities and other special needs and their families. The certificate program was offered by The American College in Bryn Mawr, PA, exclusively for MassMutual financial professionals.
