Michael Volpe joined Wealth Protection Strategies in April 2026,
bringing over 30 years of experience in investment banking, financial
consulting, and wealth management. A Brooklyn native, Michael began
his career in 1991 at Commonwealth Associates, a New York-based
investment banking and fundraising placement agent, after graduating
from Brooklyn College with a B.S. in Finance. At Commonwealth, he
discovered his passion for providing personalized investment advice to
corporate clients.

In 2001, Michael transitioned to vFinance Investments, focusing on
emerging market opportunities and delivering trading and consulting
services to micro, small, and mid-cap high-growth companies, along with
institutional and high-net-worth investors interested in growth-oriented
strategies. His expertise in identifying promising investments and
navigating complex markets across a range of client objectives.
Michael joined Dreyfus, now BNY, in 2003 to support the growth
enabled by the acquisition of Pershing LLC. Over the next two decades,
he was a key contributor to managing approximately $2.1 trillion in
assets through 2026. Recognized as an exceptional advisor, he held the
distinction as the #1 advisor in BNY Advisor Services from 2007 through
2025 and was honored as a Presidents’ Club member for 20 consecutive
years.

Known as a “perspective” specialist, Michael approaches financial
planning with empathy and understanding. He listens intently, asks
thoughtful questions, and always strives to see situations from his
clients’ viewpoints, with the goal of developing planning approaches
tailored to their individual goals and values.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, Michael is deeply committed
to giving back. For 15 years, he has supported organizations such as St.
Jude’s and the American Cancer Society, reflecting his dedication to
making a positive impact in his community.

Michael’s personal life is rooted in his community and family. He has
been married for 31 years to Susan Volpe, his high school sweetheart,
whom he met at 16. Together, they have two daughters: Amanda, a
Doctor of Physical Therapy, married to Jonathan, an Orthopedic Nurse
Practitioner, and Lindsay, a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner. Michael
cherishes the values of family, community, and a well-lived and fulfilled
life, which also shapes how he serves his clients.
