Richard Totman is a financial advisor with Charter Oak Financial, whose proud history dates back to 1886. Richard focuses his practice on the investment planning, retirement planning and estate planning needs of families, individuals, retirees and special needs families. He is proud to say he serves multiple generations of his clients’ families.
Richard has spent his entire 38-year career in the financial services industry affiliated with MassMutual. He began with Connecticut Mutual in 1982 and eventually joined Charter Oak when the two companies merged in 1996.
Outside of the office, Richard is involved with In Flight Inc., a non-profit organization that is dedicated to providing support services for adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities.
Richard has lived in Hudson Valley for his entire life, where he enjoys hiking and kayaking. Richard is a musician, who enjoys playing guitar, piano and arranging songs in his home studio. One of his greatest joys is hosting large family gatherings with his wife, their five children, and 11 grandchildren.
