Ron Scott joined MassMutual Metro New York in 2012 as our Advanced Markets Specialist. Ron has over 16 years’ experience in the Financial Services industry. His prior experience was with MetLife (2002-2012). He earned a Bachelor of Science - Mechanical Engineering degree from Polytechnic University of New York (1984) and a Master of Business Administration - Management Science from Pace University (1990). Ron is a Certified Financial Planner (CFP) professional, an Accredited Estate Planner (AEP), a Certified Family Business Specialist (CFBS), a Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU), a Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC), and a Certified in Long-Term Care (CLTC) professional. Ron is Life & Health licensed in NY, NJ, PA, & FL, is a Registered Principal, Investment Adviser Representative (IAR), and Fee-Based Financial Planner, and holds the Series 24, 7, 6, 65, and 63 licenses.
Ron teaches the CFP Certification both live (NYU) and online (Dalton Education), and teaches Undergraduate Finance & Economics courses at the College of Staten Island.
When Ron is not working, is not working, he enjoys playing the drums, pocket billiards, golf, and poker. But, most of all, he enjoys spending time with his family.
Ron resides in Staten Island, NY with his wife Theresa, daughter Samantha, and son, Christopher.
