Professional Story

Sandy Olenick is a seasoned financial advisor who began her focus in retirement planning in the mid-1990s when she worked for Citistreet/Copeland, a 403(b) carrier to the education and medical marketplaces. After her time at Citistreet/Copeland, Sandy joined MassMutual Pittsburgh’s leadership team as the firm’s Annuity Specialist. At MassMutual Pittsburgh, her duties included training financial professionals, consulting on cases, and developing the annuity marketplace, plus continuing a small financial practice.

Sandy graduated from Carlow University in Speech Pathology. She worked as a speech therapist for the Pittsburgh Public Schools and in the Educational Division of Reader’s Digest. After the closing of the Educational Division in 1981, she began her financial career with Connecticut General/Cigna Individual Financial Services working in Fee Based Financial Planning and Estate/Business Continuity Planning.

Most recently, Sandy transitioned her business to Herzog Kistner Shaw Financial Partners and is now semi-retired. With the team, she is still available to provide consultation on Retirement Income Planning, Annuities, as well as deliver Financial Plans for Individuals and Couples. Her charitable work now centers around Advanced Plan Giving Techniques for charitable organizations and non-profits.
