Scott has been an integral part of the Chesser Financial team since 2011, bringing a wealth of knowledge and experience to his role.  Originally from a farming community in northeast Illinois, Scott first came to the Champaign area in 1994 to pursue a master’s degree at the University of Illinois. A lifelong learner and problem-solver, Scott is passionate about helping others achieve financial security and bridging the financial knowledge gap in today’s world.

Scott and his wife, Susan, have been married since 1995 and are proud parents and grandparents. Their daughter, son-in-law, and granddaughter reside in the Indianapolis area. In addition to his professional accomplishments, Scott holds a degree in meteorology and is a self-proclaimed weather enthusiast. Outside the office, you’ll often find him running—he has completed more than 40 marathons or ultra-distance races!

Though always self-driven (starting his own farmer’s market at just 17 years old), Scott understands the challenges of financial struggles firsthand. Having overcome financial difficulties during the early years of his marriage, he is deeply committed to helping others take control of their finances and build a secure future.
