Growing up in New Hampshire with a father and three uncles in the financial services business, it’s no surprise Tom Shaughnessy also chose to become an advisor.

In the mid-1990s, Tom moved to Tulsa to attend Oral Roberts University and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management. He returned to New Hampshire to begin his career in financial services and has had a successful practice for nearly two decades.

"It was 10 years ago, Stephen Frank and I met at a business-related event," Tom says. "We discovered we had alignment on faith, family and business style – and our families really connected as well." Now a decade later, Tom and his family decided to move to the Tulsa area to be closer to family and become a part of the OND team.

"I’m excited to be back in Tulsa and represent OND," Tom says. "I’m doing what I enjoy – getting to know clients and understanding what is truly important to them. My goal is to help clients achieve their financial goals."

Tom adds his extensive experience to OND in the areas of comprehensive financial planning, investment solutions, risk management, corporate retirement plans, executive benefits and business continuation.

"Before I recommend a solution, I get to know my clients and understand what is truly important to them," Tom says. "I place the clients’ needs above all others and support the OND culture of uncompromising integrity in every aspect of our business."

When Tom is not working, he enjoys sports with his children, coaching, playing drums and volunteering at his church. Tom has been active on several boards, including the YMCA.

"Growing up, I learned the importance of volunteering, and now I am teaching that to my children," Tom says. "Volunteering is a natural part of our family’s life -- giving back to the community is a priority for us."

Tom and his wife, Lisa, reside in Broken Arrow with their two children.
